Admissions and Applications

Admissions Process

We begin accepting applications on January 1st. Applicants are processed and enrolled on a rolling basis until the program is full. Tuition, minus the nonrefundable deposit, must be paid in full by June 1st. After June 1st, all applications must be accompanied by full payment of tuition.

1.  Please note that a $250 non-refundable deposit per applicant is required for all day student applications. Boarding students are required to submit a $350 non-refundable deposit. A deposit is not a guarantee of admission.

2.  In order to accept a student, the Summer Programs Office must have the completed application, all signatures on the application, current photo, completed Recommendation Form from a current English teachers, and a non-refundable deposit (see details above).

3. International student must have a guardian who is a relative or family friend in the United States who must be in the U.S. during the duration of the program and over the age of 21. A student cannot be enrolled without a guardian.

If accepted, a spot will be offered and held for the student. Tuition, minus the deposit, must be paid in full by June 1st. Any applications received after June 1st  must be paid in full.  Students who apply after June 1st must submit payment in full.

International boarding students must name a U.S. guardian on the application. To secure the applicant’s space, all balances are due on or before June 1st. Students who apply after June 1st must submit payment in full. If you are applying by mail, please send the completed application to:

Required Paperwork

All students are required to upload the following documents into their online account prior to being enrolled.

  1. Updated Physical (boarders only)
  2. Medication in school (boarders only)
  3. Any Health Related Action Plans, i.e. Asthma or Allergies

Walk-in Registration

After June 14, registrations can  be made in person at Hun. Walk-in registration will be held between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on June 18, 19, and 20. All registrations after June 20, will need to be scheduled. You can schedule a registration by emailing Class registration will close on Thursday, June 21 at 12 p.m.

Refunds, Cancellation and Changes

The Summer Programs staff makes every effort to be flexible and accommodating regarding selections. Commitments to faculty, staff, facilities, and other students are made in advance of the summer. Please note, canceling after June 1 will result in a forfeiture of the entire tuition and all deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations and refund requests must be made by June 1 in writing and only the non-refundable deposit will be retained. No refunds will be given after June 1Tuition cannot be applied to another summer program or camp, to next year’s Summer School or camp, to a sibling in a program, or to regular Hun School tuition.

Due to commitments to faculty, staff, facilities, and other students, no refunds or deductions in tuition will be made for late arrival, early dismissal, vacation, illness, withdraw, or injury. Changes and additions after June 1
 and during enrolled weeks are based upon availability and are subject to a $50 processing fee.
